Jewellery Making Workshops

Jewellery Making Workshops

Join me for a day of fun and creativity, learning new skills, meeting like-minded people and walking away at the end of an enjoyable day with treasures made by your own hands.

Come along on your own or bring friends too! Fired Rose Jewellery making workshops are suitable for beginners as well as experienced crafters.

During the workshop, I teach you how to work with Silver Clay. The great thing about silver clay is that you get so much more creative freedom to design and make what you want, using textures from nature, moulds from found objects such as shells and even your own fingerprints!

Getting Started

Getting Started

Silver Clay starts as a malleable lump of clay containing silver particles, but after firing, refining and polishing, ends up as a solid piece of 999 fine silver (which is purer than sterling silver).

The whole process is very magical, and everyone is often amazed that was once soft and fragile is now a solid piece of jewellery.

You get everything you’ll need to make up to four pieces of fine silver jewellery.

You’ll learn how to use various tools and techniques to create beautiful pieces with a range of textures and finishes.

Workshops at The Waterside Cafe, Norfolk

The workshops are held from 10am - 4pm at The Waterside cafe in Norfolk, which is nestled among the stunning surroundings of Rollesby Broad.  We have access to our own room where we get creative and while our jewellery is in the kiln we can head out to a beautiful decked area where we can eat our lunch alfresco, take in the stunning surroundings looking out over the broad.  You may even get to spot the resident family of herons!  The Waterside is located just 15 miles from Norwich, 7 miles from Great Yarmouth and provides all day free parking.

The address is The Waterside, Main Road, Rollesby, Norfolk, NR29 5EF

Throughout the year...

Throughout the year...

I offer four set workshops a year to be able to offer seasonal foliage to work with.  These dates can get booked up so do not hesitate if you want to be a jeweller for a day!

If you have a special birthday, hen do or group of friends outside of these dates who want to get creative together then I am happy to hold a private workshop with just your group (between 5-8 people) and can offer this at a date and venue of your choice.  Just email me on sarah@firedrose.co.uk

Kind Words

"I booked this course with a plan to make a special necklace for my sister's birthday. I wasn't expecting the process to be quite so incredible though."

"I learnt so much about the process my necklace would go through and ways I could make it even more beautiful."

"I had an absolutely fabulous day on Sarah’s jewellery making workshop. Sarah is very thorough and explains the process as the day goes on. I was amazed by all the kit she has! I made my teenage daughters a ‘tree of life’ silver pendant each, which I gave to them as gifts. They were so pleased. In fact both said it was their best Christmas present!"

"The setting was calm, inspiring and I just felt like I had time to think and breathe as I went about creating my jewellery."

"My sister cried when she got her necklace and wears it every day."

"This is a brilliant workshop, not just for creating something special, but for the experience of making something from scratch in a beautiful and sincere way."
