All about me

I’m Sarah, the jewellery designer & maker behind Fired Rose. A country girl, animal lover & hopeless romantic, who will always choose adventure. Wild waves on the sea, wildflower meadows & dusty antiques with their own story to tell, inspire me to create unique & emotional pieces that have a deeper meaning behind them.

Since an early age, I have always loved getting lost in art and being creative. It was my therapy & still is. I believe that anyone can express themselves through art, which is why I adore teaching what I do in the creative jewellery workshops we run.

My training started 15 years ago on a hobby course for fun, but I soon realised that what I had made was getting a lot of love. It gave me the confidence to re-train from my then career as a Police Detective, which took me all over, studying at the British Academy of Jewellery, Goldsmiths College, West Dean College & a great deal of self tuition along the way!

I live in Norfolk with my two teenage children Rose & Teddy who inspire me always. I have a small pack of rescue dogs who love to come to the shop & meet everyone. The hardest part is picking which one will be studio dog that day! I’m late wherever I go (much to everyone’s annoyance), love sticky rice and cherry beer.

I’m most content & free by the coast…my heart & soul belong there. My dream is to live in a house by the sea one day.

What's in a name...

What's in a name...

Fired Rose is named after my Great Grandma Rose, who was killed with her husband and three sons by a bomb during World War II.

It’s in her memory that the women in our family carry her name with them, with my own daughter named after her.

I created Fired Rose Jewellery with a vision to hand craft every day, wearable pieces that capture the essence of life’s moments and tell your story. I love the thought of my jewellery being your very own talisman to draw strength, protection, luck and contentment from.

For you...

Fired Rose is for people who love jewellery that is a little different from the mainstream… Timeless heirlooms with a contemporary twist that will last you, your loved ones and future generations forever.

My workshop & studio

My home worshop is full of beach finds, old trinkets and hand crafted creations from other makers which all inspire my daily work.

It’s here where I tend to design and make my collections, using traditional and more contemporary methods.

I have a small 200 year old jeweller's bench originating from the jewellery quarter in Birmingham that sits in the corner of the studio and shop at the Black Barn Farm in Norfolk. This is where you can visit me, browse the collection and observe me working.
